This past week, Rightfully Hers volunteers came to the New Day shelter, which is one of the initiatives under Trinitas Hospital system for rehabilitation of abused teen girls, and were able to meet some of the girls living there. Funds were raised for the gifts from the community with the POWER club at Newark Academy school and used to buy several items on the girls’ holiday wish list such as Echo Dots and DVD players for each of the girls to keep in their rooms. The volunteers were also given a tour of the facility and talk to the staff and girls. We are so glad that our actions were able to positively impact these women in our community! Thank you!
